you pick any username or passwd. we authenticate anything.
tis free. just make sure you are not getting charged for long distance
phone calls by your phone company! that is a key idea there. do not mess
that up.
as for connecting with different devices.. make sure your call is not going
over VOIP. that is troublesome. make sure your phone line performs normally. bad lines causes connections trouble.
pick up the phone and call one of our dialup numbers. make sure you hear the modem. it makes a really funny unmistakeable noise.
use google to make sure you are using the computer properly and not
a configuration problem.
things should just work.
