Dealing with Security Codes - 2008/03/25 14:36 Hello,

I have a phone number that has a security code attached to it. Specifically, after I dial the phone number -- in this case the freedialup.org number -- I get a voice prompt for entering my two digit code.

Is there a way to use freedialup's service with this kind of phone number?

Thanks for your help.

Re:Dealing with Security Codes - 2008/04/09 15:50 ok this is a very easy or very hard question depending on your skill level.
take window xp for example.

i am sure you know how to create a new dialup connection right?
well inside that connection is something called the dialing plan.

for example people might have to dial a 9 before getting dialtone.
then after dialing the modem number you need to use a carrier
code to make long distance calls! that is what you need to explore.
"use this carrier code to make long distance calls" is the thing i see
in my dialing plan area in the dialup connection options.

if you are running freebsd or linux... yikes. i have not tried anything
like that myself but fellow coworkers remember that it was possible
back in the day, so therefore possible now. something about hayes
codes... you set a pause after you dial the number and it inputs the
extra security code numbers... thus completing the call.

i hope this helps in some small way!
