There is a way to connect long distance for free! - 2011/12/03 16:14
You can use this this service through Google Voice. It is a free service that you can make phone calls through with your own local number and is free.
First you need to have a Google account or sign up for one on the Google Voice website.
Once you have made your account, setup your landline to access the account.
Once you have completely setup the account, go to your dialer app on your computer.
In the Dial/Number box put in "GOOGLE# ,,, * ,, YOURPIN ,, 2 ,, DIALUPNUMBER#".
The things capitalized are the ones you change to your info. Without quotes.
The "DIALUPNUMBER" must be followed by the pound symbol "#" to complete the call.
Once you have setup You username and password boxes, go ahead and click connect and wait.
I had a connection between 4.5kbps-21.6kbps.
Once connected, have fun!

Also remember, do NOT put dashes in between numbers in the dial/number box in your dialer.
